Bayou Segenette State Park falls into the first group — lush green nature camping and a 20 minute drive into the city. We love that the sites are beautiful paved p surrounded by grass and trees. Sites can accommodate big rigs and there is a space for your tow vehicle. This large RV park offers many options when it comes to specific sites. The most high-end RV sites offer features like a private hot tub and shaded patio. Onsite they have a pool, dog park, free wifi and a tour shuttle. Security is a big factor among campers here. The only drawback is the train switch yard at the rear and the 4 lane hwy in the front. Motorcycles race up and down it til late at night. The park is small, but the sites are not!

Management staff are warm and friendly and always helpful. Owner is an exceptional lady who goes out of her way to make guests feel welcome.

There are no hookups available at this site. For those open to this camping experience, it just might be the best location in New Orleans to set up camp!
