Emilio Estevez has been quietly plying his trade as a director in recent years for the small screen, directing episodes of series such as CSI: NY, Cold Case and The Guardian. Now, his first feature film since 1996's The War at Home, in which he guided his dad Martin Sheen, has been tapped for a prestigious fall movie awards season honor. The 10th Annual Hollywood Film Festival, presented by STARZ, will honor the cast of Bobby with the Hollywood Ensemble Acting of the Year Award.

Estevez not only wrote and directed Bobby, but also co-stars in it alongside Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Elijah Wood, Harry Belafonte, Joy Bryant and many more. It recounts the tragic events at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on June 6th, 1968, when Senator Robert Kennedy was assassinated, through the eyes of 22 different characters. This ten years after Estevez directed and co-starred with dad Martin Sheen in the Vietnam veteran drama The War at Home.

The Hollywood Film Festival will also present at its gala ceremony on Monday, October 23rd the Visual Effects of the Year Award to Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, the Animation of the Year Award to Cars and the Make-Up of the Year Award to X-Men: The Last Stand."

"Every year, we are very proud to honor excellence in the art of filmmaking in all its disciplines," explained Carlos de Abreu, founder and Executive Director of the Hollywood Film Festival. "This year's honorees are outstanding examples of that excellence."

Other industry professionals who will be honored for their achievements at the gala awards ceremony include a quartet of distinguished Oscar winners - Vilmos Zsigmond (Cinematographer of the Year Award), Joel Cox (Editor of the Year), Gustavo Santaolalla (Composer of the Year), John Myhre (Production Designer of the Year) - as well Penny Rose (Costume Designer of the Year) and Francine Maisler (Casting Director of the Year).

"These individuals have demonstrated extraordinary ability throughout their careers," said Abreu. "They are highly talented professionals whose work and creative vision are to be applauded and honored."
